This nice little safety light became an instant hit in my household! It's easy to use, easy to charge, and using a USB cord means that it doesn't take up a huge outlet! (As much as I loved our Energizer rechargeable flashlights, the fact that they took up so much room to charge was definitely a pain!) Although having the different lighting modes is nice and shall doubtlessly prove useful in the future, the fact that it gets nicely bright despite being USB-powered was the aspect I was most worried about, so I was super-glad to see how bright it got!I have no complaints about this. I needed a flashlight, I got a super-duper safety flashlight with useful extra features to boot! I'll update this review later on if I come into any problems in the long term.

Flashlight is made from durable aluminum and rugged enough to take abuse rolling around in a glove box. Orange light saber threads into end of flashlight, overall length fully assembled is 11?There are 3 lighting modes dim, bright, and strobe. Flashlight contains a seat belt cutter, product should be able to rest on top of a traffic cone making this item a good possible use of an emergency road side flare.Item is rechargeable either through cigar port on end of flashlight, or through a USB port. Item comes in a durable plastic box equivalent to a small pencil box, an optional carrying bag is included.

Decided to try this wand flashlight after watching the nice lady that controls the traffic at the nearest elementary school, she is currently using a light that you cannot see from 10 yards.I was very surprised when I started comparing the output from this flashlight without the orange cone and the comparison was side to side with my loyal Strion from Streamlight wich is far more expensive. Please note that the comparison will be only for the output and amount of light that both flashlights gives. Not comparing frame, battery, craftsmanship as they are not the same tool.To beat my pride, the Aulite flashlight is noticeable powerful that the Strion when they are side to side and see the light footprint at 10ft.When used with the orange wand you will get an amazing visibility with low and high power.I still need to criticize the flashing function, the description calls it for strobe but in this wand the so-called strobe is just a slow flashing with 3 quick flashes and a pause for 2 seconds. I would love it to have a real strobe effect. The USB C port and 12 volt (cigarette charger) makes it versatile. Time will tell for the battery life and robustness as this wand will be working every single morning helping kids to cross the avenue in the way to school.

Note that the flashlight output test pictures were shot in a completely dark room at night. It really lit up everything - that red can't be missed, so be careful to not blind drivers or others! The light pattern is very bright in the center, but also bright all around (see pictures).Lights up whole area, and spotlights long range where you might be looking/walking.Should be able to look in a treetop if you want to check what's going on up there. It seems to be focused for longer distance.I will say that the very bright center is small (just under 1 ft) when walking with the light just ahead, say distance of 6 feet. The red reflector screws into the front lens area securely.Battery power seems to hold up well, but I don't think it will run an hour on a charge.I think it did turn off after many minutes, maybe to save the battery?I have and have had many lights and flashlights, and I like this one. Nice if I wake up to power outage, or I need to hunt through basement stuff looking for something. Fits well in the hand and the lighter plug doesn't get in the way. Can keep it charged easily, so no batteries to keep replacing.Ok, like all new devices, charge it up first. The USB-C port is under a rubber cover. The power button dimly glows red when charging.I used the included USB-A to USB-C short cable, and have used a longer USB-C cable I already had, plugged into a 5 volt cell phone or other A/C wall plug-in I already had. You could even use a battery device made for cell phone charging, which I am doing right now. Or plug flashlight directly into a cigarette lighter socket, but will need clearance of 5 inches which is it's length. When fully charged the button turns green so you can know to unplug it since some devices lose battery capacity if left charging indefinitely when fully charged.Note that the flashlight USB-C port hole is narrow, and the short cable shipped with the flashlight DOES fit, but the USB-C cable that came with my Samsung Note 9 and others would not fit in, but these cables I had bought previously on Amazon do fit: USB Type C Cable 3.1A Fast Charging [2Pack,6.6ft+6.6ft],Sweguard USB-A to USB-C Charger Nylon Braided Cables. There is a small metal piece that sticks out slightly, on the side of the flashlight, that has a cutter way up under it to cut a seat belt, so don't think it is a pocket clip! It is covered well by the metal piece, so that something like a seat belt would have to be slipped under it, to get to the blade, so it seems safe.Note - If you remove the plate that is screwed on tightly, a small sharp blade will fall out, so expect it.Press the side button once, and it is bright, press again, and it is really bright, and a third time, and it strobes with 3 quick flashes, about 1 second wait, then again with the 3 flashes, continuing.Someone complained that they didn't like the maybe 1 second delay in the flashing pattern, but I know of people that are disturbed or go into trance with a fast strobe, so this 3/pause/3 pattern might actually be a good idea.

I have to do a little but of traffic duty at work and I got this because it was rechargeable and small. I don¡¯t use it every day but really only when it¡¯s cloudy and/or rainy out and I want to be extra visible. The orange wand easily screws on and it comes off for convenient storage. It also makes a great rechargeable flashlight. So if I never have to do traffic duty again, I still have a durable and convenient flashlight.
I just find this as a really solid torch/flashlight and hey, if you have an airplane, you can also use it to direct it. Okay seriously now, there are so many cheap torches that I get really disappointed in because they don¡¯t consistently work. That¡¯s not this one: it really always performs the way I expect it to perform. It¡¯s a very solid light that has to brightness levels and also a blinking mode. The only awkward part is that the handle is funny because it can be plugged into a car cigarette lighter. I don¡¯t need that feature, instead I charge it via the USB slot and that works nicely.I also like container that it comes in. It¡¯s convenient for travelling with when you need to pack into a box with other stuff. We use this light for our camping trips when we need to walk somewhere in the dark.
There is a section of country road without footpath that I need to pass a few times daily on a road known for decades for speeding and reckless driving. Despite being in a 30mph zone, I had been terrified several times as cars and vans ignored my presence on the road, zooming past inches from me as I leant as far onto the muddy bank as I could. This, even wearing a powerful headtorch (front and back lights) and a reflective vest.Searching for something to improve my encounters with people happily breaking the law daily and putting my life at risk in the process. This wand has been a noticeable improvement and help. I now put my headtorch on flashing mode, and carry the wand in my roadside hand on flashing mode.Almost all cars now slow to, or remain at, 30mph, go 1.5m or more around me, and stop if there is oncoming traffic. Rather than feeling invisible, drivers are noticeably taking care and giving space. The red light is highly visible (yet easier on the eye because of the diffuse light) even on the lower setting. It commands attention, and the red light also maintains my night vision better.I cannot compare this wand to others being sold – this is the one I plumped for. The base part feels very sturdy and well-made. The red plastic cone is simple and screws onto the base. It is a flexible, not brittle plastic, which bodes well for its longevity. This was of the few that can be charged by USB-C, so it is easy to keep topped up (there is a red charging light on the control button when charging which turns green when full). Having the car cigarette lighter charge as well makes this an excellent option for keeping in a car, bike saddlebag, or rucksack. The wand arrived satisfactorily packed and in its own plastic storage box. It has a short USB-A to C charger and a long, translucent bag that fits over the wand with soft rope handles that are comfortable to hook around the wrists whilst grabbing the bagged wand in the hand for use, or tying / clipping onto anything. This bag has been fabulous with all the drizzle and rain lately; I just keep the wand in that all the time and it reassures me that I won’t lose the cone if it accidentally unscrewed itself (the screw isn’t awfully tight)This product is marked as from Amazon US, though I think it came from an EU country to the UK – either way, a slightly longer delivery time than we may have become used to, but highly worth the wait. This Aulite safety wand is a purchase I am immensely content with and will likely save my life several times!
Used the product for traffic control super bright .
Very happy with the product
Worth the money!
