Traffic Wand Flashlight Rechargeable with Cigarette Lighter

I just find this as a really solid torch/flashlight and hey, if you have an airplane, you can also use it to direct it. Okay seriously now, there are so many cheap torches that I get really disappointed in because they don’t consistently work. That’s not this one: it really always performs the way I expect it to perform. It’s a very solid light that has to brightness levels and also a blinking mode.The only awkward part is that the handle is funny because it can be plugged into a car cigarette lighter. I don’t need that feature, instead I charge it via the USB slot and that works nicely.I also like container that it comes in. It’s convenient for travelling with when you need to pack into a box with other stuff. We use this light for our camping trips when we need to walk somewhere in the dark.

I have to do a little but of traffic duty at work and I got this because it was rechargeable and small. I don’t use it every day but really only when it’s cloudy and/or rainy out and I want to be extra visible. The orange wand easily screws on and it comes off for convenient storage. It also makes a great rechargeable flashlight. So if I never have to do traffic duty again, I still have a durable and convenient flashlight.

There is a section of country road without footpath that I need to pass a few times daily on a road known for decades for speeding and reckless driving. Despite being in a 30mph zone, I had been terrified several times as cars and vans ignored my presence on the road, zooming past inches from me as I leant as far onto the muddy bank as I could. This, even wearing a powerful headtorch (front and back lights) and a reflective vest.Searching for something to improve my encounters with people happily breaking the law daily and putting my life at risk in the process. This wand has been a noticeable improvement and help. I now put my headtorch on flashing mode, and carry the wand in my roadside hand on flashing mode.Almost all cars now slow to, or remain at, 30mph, go 1.5m or more around me, and stop if there is oncoming traffic. Rather than feeling invisible, drivers are noticeably taking care and giving space.The red light is highly visible (yet easier on the eye because of the diffuse light) even on the lower setting. It commands attention, and the red light also maintains my night vision better.I cannot compare this wand to others being sold - this is the one I plumped for. The base part feels very sturdy and well-made. The red plastic cone is simple and screws onto the base. It is a flexible, not brittle plastic, which bodes well for its longevity. This was of the few that can be charged by USB-C, so it is easy to keep topped up (there is a red charging light on the control button when charging which turns green when full). Having the car cigarette lighter charge as well makes this an excellent option for keeping in a car, bike saddlebag, or rucksack.The wand arrived satisfactorily packed and in its own plastic storage box. It has a short USB-A to C charger and a long, translucent bag that fits over the wand with soft rope handles that are comfortable to hook around the wrists whilst grabbing the bagged wand in the hand for use, or tying / clipping onto anything. This bag has been fabulous with all the drizzle and rain lately; I just keep the wand in that all the time and it reassures me that I won't lose the cone if it accidentally unscrewed itself (the screw isn't awfully tight)This product is marked as from Amazon US, though I think it came from an EU country to the UK - either way, a slightly longer delivery time than we may have become used to, but highly worth the wait.This Aulite safety wand is a purchase I am immensely content with and will likely save my life several times!

This product is good if you just need a traffic wand and whistle that you don’t want to blow. The orange light part is bright, however the top flashlight is not bright. This product is not the durable if you drop it, the beeper chip will fall off if used too hard. This product is lightweight and will not make your hands cramp.
